South Sudan International Engagement Conference and Gender Symposium
In December 2011, women civil society activists gathered in Washington, DC, for the South Sudan International Engagement Conference and Gender Symposium. In line with the South Sudan Development plan, the women defined their priorities for the future of their country’s peace and development. These recommendations are guided by five overarching themes discussed at the International Engagement Conference and provide comprehensive solutions for statebuilding and peacebuilding in South Sudan.
