PCDN’s Dr. Catalina Rojas Awarded the Prestigious SXSW Dewey Award for Use of Digital Technology to Help Others

PCDN’s Director of Innovation, Dr. Catalina Rojas, was awarded a SXSW Dewey Award for her use of digital technology to help others.  The award was recently announced on the SXSW website and Dr. Rojas will accept the award, along with the nine other international winners at the Dewey Community Service Awards Ceremony on March 12, 2015 in Austin, Texas as on the eve of the 2015 SXSW Interactive Conference.

“Dr. Rojas’ personal drive to create a better world for others was what attracted us to her inspiring list of achievements,” said Tammy Lynn Gilmore, SXSW Interactive’s Nonprofit Evangelist. “The Dewey Winburne Community Service Awards committee was very impressed by Dr. Rojas’ entire body of work, especially her work with women-focused non-governmental and community-based organizations. Her work for peace within her home country [Colombia] was also something we considered very important.”

Thank you to all of our members and supporting organizations who have helped to make PCDN a thriving community and, now, an award-winning network. Catalina and Craig will be proudly representing PCDN at the SXSW conference this year.
